Following are some of our past group hunts:
Zimbabwe Buffalo & Plains Game – July 2005
Clay Gruesbeck, David Valdez, David Schenk, Kevin Turner, James Jeffrey and Tim Wegner had a
successful hunt in HHK’s Lemco Conservancy, taking over 36 head of plains game and 6 Cape buffalo.
Everyone had a great time, and the hunters were impressed by the accommodations and the amount of
game in the area. Some great trophies were taken, but the highlight of the trip was the unprovoked
buffalo charge Clay stopped just off the end of his muzzle. The hunt was a bit less eventful, but
just as fun, for everyone else. In fact, Tim Wegner re-booked for a buffalo, leopard and plains
game in 2005, Kevin Turner re-booked for buffalo and plains game in 2005, and Clay Gruesbeck has booked
a plains game hunt for 2006.

Nambia - August 2005
In August of 2005, we went to Namibia with a group of outdoor writers and industry personnel. We
hunted at Ozondjahe Safaris, our primary Namibian outfitter. Hunters included Greg Rodriguez,
Wayne Van Zwoll, Scott Olmstead, Ralph Lermayer, Gordy Krahn, Scott Grange, Bob Richardson,
Terry Moore, and Kevin Howard. Our group took over 60 animals, including a 57-inch kudu, several
eland bulls over 36 inches, several warthogs over 12 inches, and some impressive, heavy-horned
gemsbok bulls.
Look for stories about this incredible trip on the Outdoor Channel, as well as in Guns and Ammo,
Hunting, North American Hunter, American Hunter, Gun World, Gun Hunter, and many more gun and
hunting publications.

Zimbabwe Buffalo, Leopard & Plains Game - July 2005
Once again, July of 2005 found us in Zimbabwe’s lowland hunting HHK’s Lemco concession with
Tim Wegner, Jim Jones, Bill Burris, Gary Ellison and his son Will. It was a great trip for cats,
with both leopard hunters scoring. Will shot a fine leopard tom on his first night in the blind,
and Tim shot what may be the biggest tom of the season on the fifth night. Bill, Tim, and Gary all
scored on nice buffalo (Will and Jim were not booked for buffalo), and all hunters took some fine
plains game trophies. Besides the leopards and big buffalos, the highlight of the trip had to be
the sheer amount of quality game seen by everyone. This was a great trip, and I look forward to
heading back to Zimbabwe in 2006.

Zimbabwe Cape Buffalo & Plains Game - May 19-28, 2004
Based on the many requests we've had for this hunt, we expect this to be the fastest selling group
hunt ever. We will be hunting with HHK Safaris, the largest safari outfitter in Zimbabwe.
Our hunt begins when we arrive in Harare and are driven to one of HHK Safaris' Zambezi Valley
concessions to hunt Cape Buffalo. As the hunters take their Buffalo, they will be driven to Lemco
ranch in Zimbabwe's Lowveld to hunt plains game on this 850,000 acre, private ranch. At the
conclusion of our hunt, we will be driven to Bulawayo (approximately 4 hours) for the flight home.
The $8,850 price of this hunt represents an approximately $2,000 discount over the regular price,
and it includes meals, lodging, professional hunter (2x1), 10 hunting days, 1 travel day, and the
trophy fee for 1 Cape Buffalo Bull. Book fast, as this one won't last long.
South African Plains Game - July 8-18, 2003
I just returned from a very successful group hunt with Blaauwkrantz Safaris in South
Africa. Two group hunt veterans, Jon Bieber and Wes Webber, tagged along, as did Larry Spillers
from Richmond, TX, and Tony McNellis from Dallas. As usual, everything at Blaauwkrantz, from the
meals and lodging, to the hunting, was first rate.
The package included 7 animals (Kudu, Bushbuck, Gemsbok, Impala, Springbok, Blesbok, and Duiker),
and everyone took all of their package animals, as well as several extras. Jon Bieber took 7 extra
animals, including a second Kudu, Blue and Black Wildebeest, Black and White Springbok, and a
Zebra. Jon also made the shot of the trip with a 413 yard one-shot kill on a fine Gemsbok bull.
All the guys had a great time, and Tony and Jon are already working with me to book another hunt
with Blaauwkrantz for 2005.
New Mexico Pronghorn - September, 2002
Nine of us ventured to New Mexico last year to hunt Pronghorn. The hunters included company
president Greg Rodriguez, Glen Miller, Wes Webber, Mike Sellitti, Mike Beard, Clint Denny, Jess
Malone, Sonny Malone, and Jon Bieber. Everyone took great bucks by noon on Sunday, but the
highlights of the trip were Mike Sellitti's 16 ½" buck and Sonny Malone's 400+yard shot. Everyone
had a great time, and most of these guys have re-booked for 2003.

B.C. Black Bear - May, 2002
Six hunters from all over the country met in British Columbia to hunt Black Bear last spring. Our
group included Greg Rodriguez, Jon Bieber, Mac Cacy, Tom Cacy, Ron Greenthaller, and Michael Nelson.
The weather and scenery were beautiful, and we took some excellent bears. Two color phase bears were
taken, and the average size was 6'9". The biggest bear of the trip was Tom Cacy's 7'2" chocolate
bruin.

Zimbabwe Plains Game - August, 2001
A few people cancelled on this one due to fears of political unrest in Zimbabwe, but they really
missed out. The hunt went very well, and Greg Rodriguez, Jeff Hilliard, and Brian Rader took some
excellent trophies. Brian and Jeff both took excellent Kudu (54 and 55"), Eland (30 and 35"),
Wildebeest, Zebra, Impala, Warthog, and Giraffe. Greg took a Rowland Ward Wildebeest and Duiker,
a second Wildebeest, 9 Impala, 2 Warthogs, a Honey Badger, and a big Zebra stallion. We really
enjoyed hunting with Norman Crooks, and Brian and Jeff can't wait to get back to Africa after
experiencing such a great first safari.
